Owzat For Service !

England’s  Barmy  Army  of   spectators may not always agree with the decision of the umpires in cricket test matches but, as with every other international sport, they are essential to the game.

That is why the England & Wales Cricket Board, who hosted the tests against West Indies and India this summer, entrusted Pinnacle Chauffeur Transport with the task of transporting these important

referees to the matches.

This year the ECB renewed its contract with Pinnacle to deliver the umpires to the game, utilising their nationwide network to transport the umpires around the country.

The deal involves picking up umpires from international airports, dropping them off at hotels in cities across the land and taking them to and from grounds on match days.

The latter has to be a flexible service because, as all supporters know, a match can finish early, be rained off, or go on late into the evening.

And it is not just one umpire per match but three - plus all their kit and belongings – who need to travel in comfort and relaxed style so that they are fresh for their deliberations.

International visitors, unfamiliar with the UK can face all sorts of problems travelling independently, which is why using Pinnacle is so convenient.

Pinnacle’s local chauffeurs know routes and areas, do regular checks on whether there are local road works, hold-ups or other problems and, if needed, have satellite navigation systems in their Chrysler Grand Voyagers to make sure the umpires arrive where they need to be.

Pinnacle marketing and managing director Trevor Langley said: “Our franchisee chauffeurs offer peace of mind so that these important international visitors are safely in place on time ready to participate in the matches which are a piece of England’s summer heritage.

“We are never stumped by the challenges set us and the umpires have signalled to us that we have scored highly in their appreciation.”

With Pinnacle, international visitors can have peace of mind—as can their hosts.
